This "How to" should provide you with the necessary steps to implement a working integration with PAM Transport from scratch using Babelway.

Preferred Protocols and Message Formats. PAM Transport supports receiving X12 messages through FTP, AS2, or VAN. They prefer FTP Server. They use GXS/Inovis for VAN. Note that configuring this connection using VAN incurrs additional costs.

    Setting up your connection

PAM Transport will come and drop files on the FTP server gateway you configure for them. Thus you will have to align and share with them all the information highlighted below (credentials, in/out folders):

In order to send out content to PAM Transport, you will make your files available to them on an FTP Server Gateway OUT:

    Configuring your messages

You may be required to send out 997 acknowledgements. Additionnally for documents you send them you may request to receive a 997 acknowledgement. You can correlate it with your original messages. In both cases, you should have a look at Babelway's 997 implementation:

This documentation is based on our integration projects but we'd love to enhance and update it with your own feedback and experience: support@babelway.com.
